NOTE:
Dipsticks are equipped with a "flip-top" cam-lock type handle. Dipsticks are unique for each model and may be identified by the handle color. On Hydra-Matic 4L80-E handle is Black/White, on ZF 4HP 24E handle is White/Black
NOTE:
1997 XJR models are equipped with a slotted upper dipstick bracket. Release bracket and slide dipstick away from EGR valve. This "checking position" will allow easier access to the dipstick for checking and adding fluid. After checking and adjusting fluid level, return dipstick tube to operating position. Tighten bracket bolt to 11-15 ft. lbs. (15.5-20.5 N.m).
