Controller Area Network

The Controller Area Network (CAN) consist of the Engine Control Module (ECM), transmission control module, ABS module, instrument pack (instrument cluster), and gear selector illumination module. See Fig 1. Both the Standard Corporate Protocol (SCP) and CAN networks connect to instrument cluster and messages are exchanged between networks through instrument cluster.
