Diagnostic Test Procedure
Run the engine. Make sure EVAP canister purge valve is operating. Using a flow meter (or a small piece of paper) at the EVAP Canister Close Valve (CCV) inlet tube, confirm flow through the EVAP canister purge valve. Is there flow through the EVAP canister purge valve? If yes, possible intermittent fault with vapor hoses or "O" ring seals. Carefully check condition of hoses and seals and replace any suspect seals. Clear DTC and perform a full EVAP system monitor drive cycle. See DRIVE CYCLES . If no, install a new canister purge valve. Clear DTC and perform a full EVAP system monitor drive cycle.
