WARNING:
To avoid injury from accidental air bag deployment, read and carefully follow all WARNINGS and SERVICE PRECAUTIONS. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
WARNING:
After disconnecting negative battery cable, WAIT a least 15 minutes on XJ8 and XJR models or one minute on S-Type and XK8 models before disconnecting side air bag Single Point Sensing (SPS) unit or seat belt pretensioners (if equipped).
