Symptom 000101 Diagnostic Concerns

ISSUE

SDD displays a System Error screen and ends the session when attempting to programme modules as 'New' or 'Existing' on DVD134.

This concern will occur when programming control modules on legacy vehicles listed above.

SDD displays 'System Error' screen and ends the session when attempting to programme control modules as 'New' or 'Existing' run from:

  1. Diagnosis Recommendations.
  2. Campaigns.
  3. Service Functions.

CAUSE

This concern has been introduced by the changes made to the software that allows new control module programming to be run from Service Functions.

ACTION

As a temporary process, to programme modules as 'New or 'Existing' do the instructions below:

  1. Enter a Diagnosis session.
  2. In a Diagnosis session select the vehicles symptoms.
  3. Select 'Continue'
  4. Select the 'Recommendations' tab.
  5. In the 'Recommendations' select any document to read.
  6. Close the document, this will display the 'Extras' tab.
  7. Select the 'Extras' tab.
  8. Select the relevant control module to program as 'New or 'Existing' from the list.
  9. Select 'Run'.

Jaguar Land Rover is currently working to resolve this concern; this will be released on the next available software release.
