GEN2.1 FRONT CONTROL DISPLAY INTERFACE MODULE RECONFIGURATION

ISSUE

Symptom 207000 Entertainment Systems

When updating the Front Control Display Interface Module (FCDIM) (also known as the Touch Screen Display or High Level Display Front) software for a vehicle in the VIN range shown below the Audio Front Control Module (AFCM) software should be updated first. Otherwise there is a possibility of the FCDIM update being unsuccessful.

CAUSE

A previous AFCM fix has caused an increase in the response time after the detection of a particular message. This then causes a software download fail in the FCDIM.

If a customer reports a concern that results in a replacement or re-configuration of the FCDIM (that falls within the VIN range below) please check that the AFCM software is at the latest level (update if necessary) using DVD 132 P3 or later, before downloading the FCDIM software. If there is no update present please continue with the FCDIM software update.
