SERVICE INFORMATION

Symptom  206000 Warning Indicators

ISSUE

At PDI or at normal service, the dealer may find DTC - U3000 - 49 Control Module internal electronic failure  - recorded in the Side Object Detection Left  (SODL) or Side Object Detection Right  (SODR) without any customer impact on the Blind Spot Monitor features.

CAUSE

False flagging DTC due to Software issue.

ACTION

Please DO NOT  replace the SODL/SODR module if this DTC U3000 - 49  is flagged. If there is no customer complaint (Blind Spot features working as intended) clear the DTC and take no further action.

If the customer reports "Blind Spot Monitor Not Available" message on the instrument cluster then re-flash BOTH SODL and SODR modules to the latest software available.

Technicians - Please rate this SSM and provide comments so that future communications can be improved.

3 = Average - Adequate information provided - The SSM partially helps me resolve the customer concern.

5 = Excellent - All required information provided to resolve the customer concern.
