Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Connect WDS to the vehicle and up-load the relevant data.
  2. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to: BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES -- XK/X150 (Specifications).
  3. Make the SRS system safe.

    For additional information, refer to: AIRBAG DISPOSAL  (Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering, General Procedures).

  4. Remove the keyless vehicle antenna.

    For additional information, refer to: Keyless Vehicle Antenna (Removal and Installation).

NOTE:
  • If the SRS component is to be replaced, the bar code of the new unit must be recorded.
  • The RCM will record and store impact data. The module must be replaced when three records are noted.
