DTC C1006-19: Left Power Running Board Motor - Circuit current above threshold: Action
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams, unplug the harness from the deployable sidestep motor and check the left deployable sidestep deploy and stow circuits for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power:
- If the deployable sidestep is not moving and a short circuit is present at the deploy or stow circuits when disconnected from the motor, repair or replace the vehicle harness as required. Clear DTC and retest
- If the deployable sidestep is not moving and a short circuit cannot be detected at the deploy or stow circuits when disconnected from the motor, check for short circuit between the corresponding motor pins. If a short is detected at the motor, replace the deployable sidestep motor assembly as required. Clear DTC and retest
