ISSUE
After a successful update of the Infotainment Control Module (IMC) the vehicle refuses to start, or in the Instrument Cluster an error message is displayed suggesting an error on the Gearbox.
This same instrument cluster error message may appear when a Transmission Control Module (TCM) update, as a stand-alone operation is completed.
CAUSE
It is possible that Pathfinder/SDD has been prematurely disconnected, that an unexpected update has occurred or the TCM update has an error in it.
PERMANENT CORRECTIVE ACTION
This concern has been resolved with the release of PATHFINDER version 300 . The manual patch will no longer be available to download and this SSM will be deleted in 7 days.
