Idle Speed

On 4.2L engine, idle speed is controlled by MCU through the stepper motor, sole-vac throttle positioner, and idle relay. See Figure -Figure . Idle speed on 5.9L is controlled by mechanical adjustments. See ADJUSTMENTS article.
