Time Lag Test Results

  1. If engagement time is longer than specified for "D" (Drive), check for improper shift linkage adjustment, low line pressure or defective forward or overdrive clutches. To check line pressure, see HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TEST  under TESTING.
  2. If engagement time is longer than specified for Reverse, check for improper shift linkage adjustment, low line pressure or defective first-reverse brake, direct clutch and overdrive clutch. To check line pressure, see HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TEST  under TESTING.
