Lock Relay Circuit Test

  1. Remove lock and unlock relays from the relay center. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between relay center lock relay terminal A2 and ground. If continuity exists, refer to the POWER LOCK MOTOR TEST  . If no continuity exists, go to next step.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between relay center lock relay terminal A4 and ground. If no continuity exists, repair open to ground. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  3. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage at relay center lock relay terminal A2. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open to fuse block. If battery voltage exists, go to next step.
  4. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between relay center lock relay terminal A5 and ground. If no continuity exists, repair open to ground. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  5. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage at relay center lock relay terminal A3 while actuating lock function of a power door lock switch. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open circuit.
