Unlock Relay Circuit Test

  1. Remove lock and unlock relays from the relay center. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between relay center unlock relay terminal B2 and ground. If continuity exists, see POWER LOCK MOTOR TEST  . If no continuity exists, go to next step.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between relay center unlock relay terminal B4 and ground. If no continuity exists, repair open to ground. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  3. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage at relay center unlock relay terminal B2. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open to fuse block. If battery voltage exists, go to next step.
  4. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between relay center unlock relay terminal B5 and ground. If no continuity exists, repair open to ground. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  5. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage at relay center unlock relay terminal B3 while actuating unlock function of a power door lock switch. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open circuit.
