- Move transfer case shift lever to "N" position. Raise and support vehicle on hoise that will allow all 4 wheels to rotate freely. Loosen trunnion lock bolt. Loosen bolt enough to allow selector rod to slide freely in trunnion. See Fig 1. Ensure lever on transfer case is in "N" position.
- Tighten trunnion lock bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lower vehicle enough to enter driver's seat without allowing wheels to touch ground. Start engine and shift transmission into Drive. Move transfer case shift lever to each gear position and ensure operation is normal. Readjust shift linkage if necessary.
