Self-Diagnostic System: Notes
NOTE:
Self-diagnostic tests are written specifically for Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box (DRB-III) scan tool. A generic scan tool may not be capable of performing all necessary test functions. Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL), also known as CHECK ENGINE light (located on instrument panel), may also be used for system diagnostics, but has limited diagnostic capability.
NOTE:
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) remain in memory for 50 engine starts. DTC is erased from memory if failure does not reoccur.
