Memory Seat Test 2A - Memory Switch Circuit Open

NOTE: Perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A  before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM. Perform TEST VER-3A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Using scan tool, SELECT DOOR MODULES, then SENSORS. Observe memory seat switch voltage. If scan tool does not displays about 4.5 NORM, go to step 5). If scan tool displays about 4.5 NORM, go to next step.
  2. Press and hold memory seat switch number 1 button and observe scan tool display. If scan tool does not display about 3.6 MEM 1, go to step 5). If scan tool displays about 3.6 MEM 1, go to next step.
  3. Press and hold memory seat switch number 2 button and observe scan tool display. If scan tool does not display about 2.4 MEM 2, go to step 5). If scan tool displays about 2.4 MEM 2, go to next step.
  4. Press and hold memory seat switch SET button and observe scan tool display. If scan tool does not display 0.0 SHORT, go to step 5). If scan tool displays 0.0 SHORT, erase door module diagnostic trouble codes and perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A  .
  5. Disconnect memory seat switch connector. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between memory seat switch connector terminal "B" (Brown wire) and terminal "A" (Black wire) with memory seat switch in Neutral position. If resistance is not about 14,000 ohms, replace memory seat switch. If resistance is about 14,000 ohms, go to next step.
  6. With ohmmeter still connected to memory seat switch terminals "A" and "B", press and hold memory seat switch number 1 button. If scan tool does not display about 1700 ohms, replace memory seat switch. If scan tool does displays about 1700 ohms, go to next step.
  7. With ohmmeter still connected to memory seat switch terminals "A" and "B", press and hold memory seat switch SET button. If scan tool does not display about 300 ohms, replace memory seat switch. If scan tool does displays about 300 ohms, replace driver's door module.
