Power Mirror Test 5C - Repairing Open Memory Mirror Circuit

NOTE: Perform POWER MIRROR TEST 1A  before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM. See MIRRORS - POWER article. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Disconnect driver's or passenger's power mirror connector from door module. Connect a jumper wire between door module power mirror terminals "C" and "D". See Figure under POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 2B. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: OPEN, replace appropriate door module. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: SHORT, go to next step.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between door module power mirror terminals "D" and "E". If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: OPEN, replace appropriate door module. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: SHORT, replace appropriate mirror.
