Power Mirror Test 5C - Repairing Open Memory Mirror Circuit
NOTE:
Perform POWER MIRROR TEST 1A
before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAM. See MIRRORS - POWER article. Perform TEST VER-1A
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
- Disconnect driver's or passenger's power mirror connector from door module. Connect a jumper wire between door module power mirror terminals "C" and "D". See Figure under POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 2B. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: OPEN, replace appropriate door module. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: SHORT, go to next step.
- Connect a jumper wire between door module power mirror terminals "D" and "E". If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: OPEN, replace appropriate door module. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: SHORT, replace appropriate mirror.
