Test 12D - Bus Short To Battery

  1. Turn ignition off. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance driver door module 12-pin connector, terminals No. 3 (Dark Blue/White wire) and No. 8 (Violet/Brown wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Dark Blue/White wire and Violet/Brown wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  2. Measure resistance driver door module 12-pin connector, terminals No. 4 (Red/Black wire) and No. 8 (Violet/Brown wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Red/Black wire and Violet/Brown wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  3. Measure resistance driver door module 12-pin connector, terminals No. 3 (Dark Blue/White wire) and No. 9 (White/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Dark Blue/White wire and White/Black wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  4. Measure resistance driver door module 12-pin connector, terminals No. 4 (Red/Black wire) and No. 9 (White/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Red/Black wire and White/Black wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  5. Measure resistance driver door module 12-pin connector, terminals No. 8 (Violet/Brown wire) and No. 11 (Pink wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Violet/Brown wire and Pink wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  6. Measure resistance driver door module 12-pin connector, terminals No. 9 (White/Black wire) and No. 11 (Pink wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between White/Black wire and Pink wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace driver door module.
NOTE: For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM  . After each repair, perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
