Information Center Test 6A - Washer Level Low Message

NOTE: Perform INFORMATION CENTER TEST 1A  before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM and DOOR LOCKS - POWER & KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM article. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Close all doors and clear information center messages. Monitor information center display. If WASHER LEVEL LOW is not displayed, system is currently functioning correctly. If WASHER LEVEL LOW is displayed, go to next step.
  2. Inspect washer fluid level. Fill as needed. Disconnect washer fluid level switch. Cycle ignition switch off, then on. If information center displays WASHER SENSOR BAD, replace coolant level switch. If information center does not display WASHER SENSOR BAD, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect information center 20-pin connector. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 13 (Black/Tan wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair Black/Tan wire for short to ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace information center.
