Power Mirror Test 5C - Repairing Open Memory Mirror Circuit

NOTE: Perform POWER MIRROR TEST 5A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Refer to MIRRORS - POWER article. After each repair, perform TEST VER-1A  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
  1. Disconnect driver's or passenger's power mirror connector from door module. Connect a jumper wire between terminals "C" and "D" on door module power mirror. See Figure under POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 2B. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: OPEN, replace appropriate door module. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: SHORT, go to next step.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between terminals "D" and "E" on door module power mirror. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: OPEN, replace appropriate door module. If scan tool displays MIRROR VERT: SHORT, replace appropriate mirror.
