Diagnostic Aids

Driver Door Module (DDM) contains master switches and lockout switch for power window system. The passenger front power window switch and rear power window switches (4-door models only) are supplied battery current through DDM power window lockout switch. In addition, ground for each individual power window switch is supplied through the DDM master switch. The one-touch down feature circuitry within the DDM will not operate power window motor if door glass, window regulator, or gearbox mechanism is stuck, obstructed or is binding. If driver front power window operates properly, but one-touch down feature is inoperative, replace faulty DDM. If problem being diagnosed is an inoperative power window switch illumination light but power window switch operates properly, replace faulty door module.
