Door Module

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove front door trim panel of suspect power window switch. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect suspect door module harness connector. Check continuity between specified terminals at suspect door module, with power window switch in specified positions. See DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE CONTINUITY  or PASSENGER'S DOOR MODULE CONTINUITY  table. See Figure and Figure . If continuity is as specified, repair power window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTS. If continuity is not as specified, replace suspect door module. See DOOR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

DRIVER'S DOOR MODULE CONTINUITY

Switch Position Continuity Between Terminals No.
Power Windows (1)
Off 1 & 8; 2 & 8; 3 & 8; 4 & 8; 5 & 8; 6 & 8; 8 & 10; 8 & 12
Right Rear Down 1 & 9; 2 & 8
Right Rear Up 2 & 9; 1 & 8
Right Front Up 3 & 9; 6 & 8
Left Rear Up 4 & 9; 8 & 10
Left Front Up 5 & 9; 8 & 12
Right Front Down 6 & 9; 3 & 8
Left Rear Down 9 & 10; 4 & 8
Left Front Down 9 & 12; 5 & 8
Lock-Out Switch (2)
(1) Driver's Door Module (DDM) C1 harness connector.
(2) Check for continuity between terminal No. 8 at DDM C2 and terminal No. 9 at DDM C1. With lock-out switch off (up position), continuity should exist. With lock-out switch on (down position), continuity should not exist.
PASSENGER'S DOOR MODULE CONTINUITY

Off 2 & 3; 4 & 9
Up 2 & 3; 9 & 10
Down 2 & 10; 4 & 9
(1) Passenger's Door Module (PDM) C1 harness connector.
