Instrument Panel Courtesy Lights Inoperative

  1. Remove and inspect inoperative light bulb(s). Replace as needed. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If bulb(s) is okay, turn ignition on and measure voltage between ground and fused circuit at inoperative lamp. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in fused circuit (Pink wire) back to splice. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) C1 connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance in Yellow wire between BCM C1 connector terminal No. 24 and inoperative bulb connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Pink wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
