Automatic Door Locks Inoperative

  1. Using scan tool, select CUSTOMER PREFERENCES. Read ROLLING DOOR LOCK status. If scan tool displays ROLLING DOOR LOCKS ENABLED, go to next step. If scan tool does not display ROLLING DOOR LOCKS ENABLED, enable auto door locks using scan tool. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Using scan tool, read ENGINE DTCs. Repair any engine related DTCs before continuing. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - GRAND CHEROKEE article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no ENGINE DTCs are present, go to next step.
  3. Replace Driver's Door Module (DDM). See POWER WINDOWS - GRAND CHEROKEE article. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
