Driver Door Fails To Lock

  1. Remove driver's front door inner trim panel. Disconnect Driver's Door Module (DDM) C1 connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and DDM C1 connector terminal No. 5 (Orange/Black wire). See Figure . If resistance is 20 ohms or greater, go to next step. If resistance is less than 20 ohms, repair short to ground in Orange/Black wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Replace DDM. See POWER WINDOWS - GRAND CHEROKEE article. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
