Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove instrument panel fuse cover. Reach behind junction block and disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connectors. See Fig 1 . Remove 4 Torx (T-20) screws attaching BCM to rear of junction block.
  2. Pull BCM straight out from junction block until connector is fully disengaged and clear of junction block. Remove BCM. To install, reverse removal procedure. Torque BCM retaining screws to 20 INCH lbs. (2.2 N.m).
  3. Whenever BCM is replaced, anti-theft system must be enabled by unlocking doors with key one time or by using scan tool. This allows BCM to see that the vehicle is equipped with an anti-theft system.
