Passenger Door Fails To Lock/Unlock
- Remove passenger's door inner trim panel. Disconnect door lock motor/ajar switch connector. Ensure Passenger's Door Module (PDM) is connected. Connect test light between passenger's door lock motor/ajar switch connector terminals No. 3 (Pink/Violet wire) and No. 4 (Orange/Violet wire). See Figure . Using scan tool, actuate PAS LOCK RELAY, then PAS UNLOCK RELAY while monitoring test light. If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates during actuation, replace door lock motor. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PDM C1 connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Orange/Violet wire between passenger's door lock motor/ajar switch connector terminal No. 4 and PDM C1 connector terminal No. 5. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Orange/Violet wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Using DVOM, measure resistance of Pink/Violet wire between terminal No. 3 on passenger's door lock motor/ajar switch connector and terminal No. 7 on PDM C1 connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, test is complete. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open in Pink/Violet wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
