Fluid Level Check Using DRB(R)III Scan Tool

Ensure engine and transmission are at normal operating temperature before checking fluid level. Start engine and apply parking brake. Connect DRB(R)III scan tool, and select TRANSMISSION. After selecting transmission, select SENSORS.
Read transmission temperature value. Compare fluid temperature value with fluid temperature graph. See Fig 1 .
Adjust transmission fluid level shown on dipstick according to fluid temperature graph with appropriate type of fluid as necessary. See Fig 1 . See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS . Check transmission for leaks.
