Remote Start Antenna Module: Removal

The Remote Start Antenna Module Assembly consists of an electrical connection to the WCM/SKREEM (1), a length of coax cable (2), mounting clips or tie wraps (3) and (4), and a control module/antenna (5).
The control module (1) is located behind and to the left side of the glove box opening (3). The module electrical connector plugs into the WCM/SKREEM attached to the ignition switch located near the right side of the steering column.
- Disconnect and isolate negative cable from battery.
- Remove glovebox.
- Remove radio to gain access to coax cable tie wraps.
- Use a plastic trim removal stick (2) to remove ignition switch bezel (1). Bezel snaps on.
- Use a plastic trim removal stick (2) to remove I.P. cluster bezel (1). Bezel snaps on.
- Remove silencer pad (1) (two screws).
- Remove knee blocker (1).
- Remove two ignition switch front mounting torx screws (2).
- Remove one ignition switch top mounting torx screw (1).
- Rotate ignition switch assembly (1) to gain access to module electrical connector (2).
- Disconnect coax cable electrical connector (2) at WCM/SKREEM.
- Remove module (3) from IP by prying on release tabs (1) while sliding module from locating pins (2).
- Locate and carefully cut coax cable tie wraps (3) and (4). Before removing the assembly, note locations of these tie wraps.
- Fish coax cable (2) through IP openings.
