TRAY, Battery: Installation: Installation

Place the battery tray (3) into the engine compartment over the left frame rail (4).
Install the one nut (2) and four bolts (1) securing the battery tray (3) to the frame rail (4).
Tighten the nut to 10.5 N.m (93 in. lbs.).
Tighten the bolts to 10.5 N.m (93 in. lbs.).
Install the battery. See Electrical/Battery System/BATTERY - Installation .

On diesel engine equipped vehicles install the diesel vacuum valve. Push the bracket (1) down until the mounting tabs are completely seated into the receptacles (2) in the battery tray.

On diesel engine equipped vehicles connect the vacuum connector (3) and electrical connector (1) to the diesel vacuum valve (2).
Connect the battery negative cable.
