Removal And Installation: 2.4L: Removal
- Open the cover of the fuse box in the engine compartment and remove the fuse F21 (15 A) of the fuel pump.
- Start the engine and run until the fuel in the lines is depleted.
- Install the fuse removed earlier and close the fuse box cover.
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

- Lift the cover, unscrew the screws and remove the cover to access the fuel pipes (1).

- Open the clamp and release the fuel vapor hoses (1).

- Lift the cover, unscrew the screws and remove the cover to access the fuel pump.

- Unplug the fuel pump's electrical connection (1).
- Disconnect the fuel delivery pipe quick coupling (2).
- Disconnect the fuel vapor pipe quick couplings (3).

- Mount the 2000002100 (EMEA) or (special tool #9340, SAE Fuel Pump Lock Ring Wrench) (NAFTA) tool (1a) and remove the pump assembly mounting ring set (1b).

- Disconnect the quick coupling of the fuel vapor recovery pipe.

- Remove the fuel pump assembly (1).

- Remove the seal on the tank (1).
