Charging System (Service Information): Description

The charging system consists of:

• Generator
• Generator decoupler pulley (if equipped)
• Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) circuitry within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
• Ignition switch
• Battery refer to BATTERY, DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING
• Generator lamp (if equipped)
• Check gauges lamp (if equipped)
• Voltmeter (refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (SERVICE INFORMATION) for information)
• Wiring harness and connections (refer to SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS )
