Module, HVAC: Installation: Installation

  1. Position the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) module (1) to the instrument panel support (3) and connect the two wire harness connectors (2).

  2. Align the HVAC module (2) to the two locator holes in the instrument panel support (4) and install the module onto the support.
  3. Install the four screws (1 and 3) that secure the HVAC module to the instrument panel support. Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.).
  4. Install the instrument panel center bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  6. Initiate the Actuator Calibration function using a scan tool. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
