Radiator, Engine Cooling: Installation: Diesel

  1. Position the radiator (3) into mounts.
  2. Install the Charge Air Cooler (CAC). Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, INSTALLATION .

  3. Position the A/C condenser (3) into the front of the engine compartment and engage the lower condenser mounting bracket (1) to the radiator.
  4. Engage the left retaining tab (2) that secures the upper condenser mounting bracket to the radiator.
  5. Engage the right retaining tab (2) that secures the upper condenser mounting bracket to the radiator.

  6. Install the radiator shield (1) and tighten the fasteners (2) to 5 N.m (44 in. lbs.).

  7. Install the lower radiator hose to radiator and secure the locking clip.

  8. Install the radiator overflow hose (1) onto the radiator. Using the (special tool #10288, Pliers, Hose Clamp) to lock the clamp.
  9. Install the cooling fans. Refer to FAN, COOLING, INSTALLATION .
  10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
