Module, Ignition Node: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL .
- Remove the radio. Refer to RADIO, REMOVAL

- Remove the three screws (1) that retain the IGnition Node Module (IGNM) bracket (2) to the inside of the lower instrument trim panel.
- Disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connector from the back of the IGNM (3).
- Remove the IGNM (3) with bracket (2). Note that four screws (1) secure the IGNM to the bracket.
- Remove four screws (1) to separate the IGNM (3) from the IGNM bracket (2).
