Module, Park Assist (PAM): Installation

  1. Position the Park Assist Module (PAM) (3) onto the weld studs on the left quarter inner panel (1) just behind the left rear wheel house.
  2. Install and tighten the two nuts (2) that secure the PAM to the weld studs. Tighten the nuts securely.
  3. Connect the body wire harness connectors (4) to the PAM connector receptacles.
  4. Install the quarter trim panel to the left quarter inner panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
