Module, Anti-Lock Brake System (Abs): Installation

NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for "PROXI Configuration Alignment" under Body Control Module (BCM) "Miscellaneous Functions" menu.
- Clean any debris off the mating surfaces of the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) and Anti-lock Brake Module (ABM).CAUTION:
When installing new O-rings or solenoid valve stem seals, do not use any type of lubricant.
- NEW
solenoid valve stems seals (1) and (2) must be installed. Do not reuse solenoid valve stem seals.
- Replace the pump/motor connector O-ring (1) if it is not new. Be sure the O-ring is properly seated in the mounting groove (2).
- Align components and install the ABM (1) to the HCU (2).
- Install the four screws (1) attaching the ABM (2) to the HCU and tighten to the proper torque. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the Integrated Control Unit (ICU) into the vehicle. Refer to INTEGRATED CONTROL UNIT (ICU), INSTALLATION .
