Module, Ignition Node: Installation

  1. Assemble the IGnition Node Module (IGNM) (3) to the IGNM bracket (2) using four screws (1). Tighten the screws securely.

  2. Position the IGNM (3) and bracket (2) to the back of the lower instrument panel trim bezel.
  3. Install three screws (1) that secure the IGNM bracket (2) to the lower instrument panel trim bezel. Tighten the screws securely.
  4. Connect the instrument panel wire harness connector to the connector receptacle (3) on the back of the IGNM.
  5. Install the radio. Refer to RADIO, INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
  8. If the IGNM is being replaced, all ignition keys will need to be programmed. Refer to MODULE, RADIO FREQUENCY (RF HUB), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
    NOTE:

    This procedure will require you to log into DealerCONNECT and enter a PIN when requested. The PIN is temporary and will be active for 12 hours. After 12 hours, a new PIN will need to be obtained from DealerCONNECT.
