Module, Keyless Ignition Node (Kin): Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the lower steering column opening trim. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL .
- Remove the radio. Refer to RADIO, REMOVAL

- Remove the three screws (1) that retain the ignition node module bracket to the inside of the lower instrument trim panel.
- Disconnect the harness connector from the back (2) of the ignition node.
- Remove the ignition node (3) with bracket (1). Note that four screws (2) secure the node to the bracket.
- Remove four screws (1) to separate the ignition node (3) from the ignition node bracket (2).
