The Power Inverter Module (PIM) provides 115V/220V Alternating Current (AC) power for customer use. Such Inverters are intended to power user loads that are not essential to vehicle control or safety (e.g. battery chargers for mobile phones or laptop computers, audio and entertainment equipment, etc.).

The PIM is located beneath the instrument panel inboard of the steering column where it is concealed behind the instrument panel steering column opening cover.

The PIM is rated at 150 watts. It will momentarily supply 300 watts to account for surges as devices are plugged in. This is true of the NAFTA 110v PIM and the BUX 220volt PIM.
