Emergency Assistance Module: Installation

  1. Position the EAM to the EAM mounting bracket.
  2. Install and tighten the four screws for the EAM. Tighten the screws securely.
  3. Connect the instrument panel wiring harness connectors.
  4. Install the switch bank pod. Refer to CENTER STACK, VEHICLE FEATURE CONTROLS, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  6. If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
