Emergency Assistance Module: Removal

NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the switch bank pod from the instrument panel cover. Refer to CENTER STACK, VEHICLE FEATURE CONTROLS, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Disconnect the instrument panel wiring harness connector (3) and the three antenna wire harness connectors (2) from the Emergency Assistance Module (EAM) (4).
- Remove the four screws from the EAM mounting bracket that secure the EAM to the bracket (1).
- Remove the EAM from the vehicle (4).
