DECKLID/Hatch/Liftgate/Tailgate/Swing Gate: Liftgate: Installation
NOTE:
A suitable body sealant should be used when removing or moving the hinges.
- Position the liftgate onto the vehicle.
- Install the four hinge to liftgate bolts (1) and tighten the to 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
- Install two hinge to header nuts (3) and tighten to 63 N.m (46 in. lbs.).
- Install the support struts (2). Refer to PROP, GAS, INSTALLATION .
- Connect wiring harnesses and washer hose.
- Check and adjust the liftgate if necessary. Refer to LIFTGATE, ADJUSTMENTS .
- Position the upper rear headliner trim (3) and seat fully.
