Body Control Module (BCM)

The BCM:

• Receives hard wired input from sensors and switches
• Provides logic and output control of certain electrical systems
• Provides load shedding logic and control
• Acts as the central module for the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus
• Supports flashing (reprogramming) of itself as well as other Electronic Control Units (ECUs) on the CAN data bus networks
• Stores vehicle configuration data
