Brake System Control Module (BSCM)

REMOVAL
- Remove the Electronic Brake Booster (EBB). Refer to BOOSTER, ELECTRONIC BRAKE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1 - Brake System Control Module (BSCM) Bolts - Remove and DISCARD the Brake System Control Module (BSCM) bolts.
- Remove the BSCM.
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
During installation torque the following fasteners to specification:
| Brake System Control Module (BSCM) Bolts (First Stage) | 2.75 N. m (24 In. Lbs.) | Do not reuse these fasteners. If removed, a new fastener must be installed and tightened to specifications. |
| Brake System Control Module (BSCM) Bolts (Second Stage) | 3.5 N. m (31 In. Lbs.) | Do not reuse these fasteners. If removed, a new fastener must be installed and tightened to specifications. |

- Install six NEW Brake System Control Module (BSCM) bolts and tighten in sequence, as shown, to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the diagnostic scan tool and initialize the BSCM by performing the BSCM Verification Test. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
