Electronic Shift Module (ESM)

REMOVAL

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - 3.6L or BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - 5.7L .
Remove the floor console cup holder. Refer to CUPHOLDER, FLOOR CONSOLE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

1 - Fastener

2 - Floor Console Trim
Remove the fastener and lift up to disengage the floor console trim. Repeat procedure for other side.
Open storage bin door.

1 - Electronic Shift Module (ESM)
Lift up on the Electronic Shift Module (ESM) to release the ESM from the floor console. Disconnect the wire harness connector and remove the ESM from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

Position the ESM to the floor console and connect the wire harness connector.
Align tabs on the ESM to the floor console and hand tap to engage the retaining clips fully into the floor console.
Install the floor console trim to the floor console. Install the fastener and tighten securely. Repeat procedure for the other side.
Install the floor console cup holder. Refer to CUPHOLDER, FLOOR CONSOLE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - 3.6L or BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - 5.7L .
