Backup Battery

REMOVAL 

  1. Remove the Global Telematics Box Module (TBM2). Refer to MODULE, GLOBAL TELEMATICS BOX, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  2. Remove the TBM2 back up battery cover from the TBM2.
  3. Gently lift up on the backup battery and disconnect the wire harness connector(s).
  4. Remove the backup battery from the TBM2.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Position the backup battery to the TBM2 and connect the wire harness connector(s).
  2. Gently insert the backup battery into the TBM2.
  3. Install the backup battery cover.
  4. Install the Global Telematics Box Module (TBM2). Refer to MODULE, GLOBAL TELEMATICS BOX, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Start the engine and check if "Service Required" indicator or message on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) turns off.
