Security Gateway Module (SGW)

REMOVAL
NOTE:
If a NEW Security Gateway (SGW) module is being installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the module. Failure to flash the module will leave the SGW module in a locked mode preventing SGW module operation.
- Remove the right side floor outlet Refer to OUTLET, AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, DISTRIBUTION, FRONT or OUTLET, AIR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, DISTRIBUTION, REAR .
- Remove the glove box. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, LOWER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1 - Fasteners 2 - Security Gateway Module (SGW) - Disconnect the wire harness connectors and remove the fasteners that secure the SGW to the instrument panel.
- Remove the SGW from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Tighten the fasteners securely.
- If a NEW SGW module is installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the SGW module.
