Global Telematics Box Module: Installation

- If separated, position the TBM2 (1b) to the TBM2 mounting bracket (1c).
- Install the fasteners (1a) for the TBM2 and tighten them securely.
- Install the TBM2 and bracket into the IP making sure the retaining tabs (1a, 1b) are fully seated.
- Connect the antenna wire harness connectors (2b, 2c). Connect the GPS wire harness connectors (2d, 2e).
- Connect the wire harness connector (1) and the USB connector (2a).
- Install the radio receiver. Refer to MODULE, RADIO RECEIVER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an IBS, connect the IBS connector.NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
- If replacing the TBM2 module. Refer to MODULE, GLOBAL TELEMATICS BOX, MODULE PROGRAMMING .
